Dec 22 to Jan 4 - Winter Break - Dojo Closed

As we breathe in and out so the seasons go by. This break offers a chance for the dojo to exhale and prepare for the new energy of the coming year. 

The dojo will be closed from December 22 through January 4, reopening on January 5th, 2026.

Dec 31st 11:15 PM - Special New Year Training with Jeff Lee and Tom Versik
Come train through the end of one year and the start of the next! 

During the winter break the dojo will be open for a New Years eve session led by Yondan (4th degree black belt) Jeff Lee and nidan (2nd degree back belt) Tom Virsik from 11:30 pm to 12:30 am with a period of quiet meditation at midnight

All levels are welcome!

Bring snacks to share after the practice and perhaps something bubbly to toast with.

Jeff Sempai asked me to let you know that he will be making his famous chocolate truffles especially for the occasion. The dojo will be opened by 11:15pm.

Jan 26 to Feb 1 - Aikido Of Berkeley Kangeiko

Kangeiko is a tradition in Japanese martial arts at the coldest time in the winter.

We practice as often as we can for one week.

There will be a 6:30 AM class each week day morning and a noon class every day.

Kids, teens , and adults are welcome to participate.

 We will do intention setting on January 26th at both 6:30 AM class  and  6:30 PM on our first day of our Kangeiko
