Aikido of Berkeley is pleased to welcome Henryk von Pradow, 4th dan, Aikikai, founder and chief instructor at Aikido • Berlin, for his first international seminar at Aikido of Berkeley, April 20-21, 2024.

Celebrating Tai Sai (Anniversary of O'Sensei's passing)

Thursday, April 25th from 6:30 – 8:00pm

Join us as we commemorate the anniversary of O’Sensei’s passing (April 26, 1969) and celebrate his life’s mission, philosophy, and embodied practices.

We will have a special ceremonial class led by Guy Stevens Senpai. He will lead a silent practice where each person will pick one technique to do throughout the class, aiming for 108 repetitions with various partners. Guy Senpai will share some of his favorite O’Sensei doka (poems) to help inspire our practice.

Please bring something to share at the potluck after training.

No mat fee for this training.
